16 years of hands-on practice
Joe Brown has treated pain and tension in Grand Prairie and across the DFW metroplex since before most of his clients could find him online.
Background
Joe Brown trained at North Texas Swedish Massage School and has worked in massage therapy for more than 16 years. The practice operates from 2304 W. Bardin Road, Suite 201, in Grand Prairie.
A large part of that work has come through medical doctors and chiropractors across the DFW metroplex: patients sent across when hands-on treatment was the appropriate next step. Working to that standard shapes how sessions run: specific about the complaint, clear about what a massage can and cannot do, and honest when something needs a different kind of professional.
How sessions work
Appointments are one-to-one, by appointment, in a single treatment room. There is no package to buy into and no course of sessions to commit to: you book the session you need, and you book again only if it helped.
What happens when you come in
If you have never booked a massage before, this is the whole of it. There is nothing to prepare.
- 1
You describe the problem
What hurts, how long it has been going on, what you do all day, and anything a doctor or chiropractor has already told you.
- 2
You agree a plan for the session
Which areas get worked, how long is spent where, and what pressure to start at. If a different session length would serve you better, you will be told.
- 3
The work happens, and you stay in control
Pressure is checked as the session goes. Say if it is too much or not enough: there is no benefit in enduring it quietly.
- 4
You leave knowing what to expect
Including whether soreness is likely for a day, and whether a follow-up is worth booking or whether one session should do it.
Massage therapy eases muscular pain and tension. It is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by a doctor: if something needs medical attention, you will be told so.
Book your first session
Call and describe what is bothering you. Joe Brown will tell you which session fits and roughly how long it should take.
After hours by appointment: ask when you call.
